quinn lisovski | 37 | male | 5'6

just a few blocks away from the industrial port areas of downtown beaumont, texas is our lady of mercy, a catholic church beloved by the local community.
just behind the church rests a small, two-level house that serves as the rectory for the church, providing both housing for the clergy as well as a space for some church offices.
the rectory is home to rev. quinn lisovski, who has been a priest at our lady of mercy for two years now.
personality
quinn's position as a clergy member forces him to face the community every single day. weddings, funerals, hospital visits, mass- on the outside, he is an involved and
dedicated reverend, who truly cares about those around him.
however, behind closed doors is an entirely different story. at his core, quinn is selfish, narcissistic and extremely anxious. he harbors a lot of hate for others and is incredibly misogynistic due
to his mother walking out on his family as a child. quinn is well-known by the local working girls, spending most of what little money he has on their time and services. all the rest is
spent onto his quickly worsening meth habit, which he has recently come back into after years of fluctuating sobriety.
he's beyond self-loathing and tends to avoid other people, partially out of hatred for them but also out of hatred of himself.
background
quinn's father pavel worked in the oil industry, which frequently brought him to southeast texas on business. after getting engaged to quinn's mother judy, he immigrated from eastern europe in order
to live closer to her family and take a better paying job.
after quinn was born, things between the couple became incredibly strained, reaching the breaking point when quinn was 6 years old. while pavel was working an overnight shift, judy packed her belongings and left.
with pavel being unable (and frankly unwilling) to care for two young boys on his own, the boys were taken in by judy's aunt and uncle, laura and ray, both devout catholics.
viktor would run away as a teenager to join the army, leaving quinn alone to fend for himself.
quinn has struggled all his adult life with substance abuse. his addiction has been a constant source of trouble for both him and viktor, who became a police sergeant after his time in the army.
viktor has used his status in the police department to help quinn get out of trouble multiple times, with quinn often taking advantage of his brothers good nature. viktor still feels guilty for
having left his brother behind, and feels like it's his responsibility to try and 'fix' quinn.
despite having little to no religious beliefs, he became involved in various church-led addiction programs in order to appease his brother with a squeaky-clean, innocent image and to stay out of prison.
he would eventually enroll in lakewood seminary to become a priest in an attempt to turn his life around for the better.
after an incident on a mission trip, quinn was sent home where he has been ever since, serving the community at our lady of mercy.
now
quinn has been on a slow, downward spiral. ever since returning home to beaumont, he's been struggling to remain sober, drinking excessively and doing whatever he can get his hands on. after a horrible incident, quinn finds himself accidentally entangled
with a supernatural force beyond his understanding. determined to evade the consequences of his selfishness, he decides to use his unique situation to his advantage, not knowing that it will seal
his fate forever.
it's been 2 weeks since anyone has heard from the reverend. his brother viktor is desperate to find him, but equally desperate to keep his brother's destructive behavior on the downlow lest it reflect badly on him.
not wanting to lose his good standing at the police department, viktor has taken it upon himself to figure out what happened to his brother in hopes he can intervene before it's too late.
